Grandy's is pure nostalgia for me. I grew up in Dallas when there were Grandy's restaurants all over the place, so it was great to stop in again. I ordered the chicken-fried steak with brown gravy, and it tasted just like I remembered. The sides were good, the sweet Southern comfort food hit the spot, and the meal brought back a lot of great memories. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. You also can't beat the value—I paid around $10.50 for a chicken-fried steak meal with sides and a drink, which is hard to find these days. If you're looking for affordable, classic Southern comfort food, Grandy's is still a solid choice.

I went to Grandys last Thursday and the service and food was 10 out of 10. I traveled from Grand Prairie and went through the drive through. The food was hot and fresh when I arrived home. What stood out even more than the food, was the customer service I received from the drive through attendant. She was so polite. I ordered a large sweet tea and asked for lemon and she delivered with a smile. TODAY, a different story. I went through the drive through, ordered three meals and this time, I ordered a gallon of tea. (Side note, the last two visits we have been told they had NO chicken drumsticks, but today, they had them.) I asked the attendant if I could have lemon and she told me lemon is only available for dine-in customers. Now, there is a lengthy sign on the window that list every single condiment and how much it cost, but I don’t recall seeing anything about lemon. I thought about it and I then asked, if I add an additional tea to my order could I have some lemon. She still said no. A person spends $40 and can’t have any lemon for tea? Anyway, we get home and to my disappointment, there is not butter or honey for the rolls. The macaroni was terrible. Our steaks were good but th

Their food was just the way I remembered it years ago. I thought they were all gone! They have fast service! Friendly employees! The food was delicious! It's sad they don't do the breakfast buffet anymore I never got to try it out.

Hubby went out this morning and purchased 2 BET Sandwiches (Bacon, Egg & Tomato) for me this morning because I mentioned I needed protein. The first one the egg was horribly rubbery and an off putting taste to it. So this second one I took the sandwich apart to examine prior up consuming. I had never seen an hard fried egg with a partial dark coloration to a portion of the enclosed non-exposed egg yolk. A portion of the hard fried egg white was rubbery and had no taste. I did not try this egg yolk. It did Not look appetizing to me. I am discouraged with today’s BET sandwiches. I use to have these quite often. Now, I am not certain I will have again for quite awhile.
